Since 2000, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved more than 13,000 miles of new pipeline with the capacity to move more than 95 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas. None of it is in the Pacific Northwest. This map showing the 295,000 miles of natural gas pipelines proved to be quite an eye-opener for legislators and their staffs when we presented in Salem.
